Snook are one of South Australia's most underrated sportfish — fast, aggressive and great on light gear. They patrol seagrass edges and open gulf water, ambush lures and trolled baits with speed, and put up a determined, slashing fight for their size.

West Coast snapper waters are inside the current snapper closure.
Where to Fish
Town jetty producing King George Whiting, garfish, tommy ruff and squid, with good fishing at the deep end on the tide run.
How to Fish Here — Rigs
The simplest and most natural presentation rig in fishing — a sinker that slides freely on the line so a fish can pick up the bait without feeling any weight. Perfect for finicky biters like whiting, bream and mullet.
A versatile and highly effective rig for King George Whiting and many other species.
