These Official Rules & Terms govern The Great Australian Box Race, an event promoted and organised by All 4 Good Wins. By checking in a box, you agree to these rules and to the Race Rules published on the race website.

The Race Rules on the main race page are the easy-to-understand participant version of these rules. If anything is unclear, these Official Rules & Terms are the version that applies.

All 4 Good Wins is the organiser of the race. Race Control operates the race on behalf of All 4 Good Wins and is responsible for verification, race integrity and the final prize draw.

The Great Australian Box Race is promoted and organised by All 4 Good Wins.

The Great Australian Box Race commences on 1 January 2027 and is scheduled to run until 30 June 2027, unless the race is completed earlier in accordance with these Official Rules & Terms. The race may therefore finish before 30 June 2027 if a valid winning box is officially declared.

Official competition and prize entries are only open to entrants who confirm they are 18 years of age or over.

Children and travelling families are welcome to enjoy, follow and help with the physical adventure where appropriate — but official competition and prize eligibility remains subject to the 18+ requirement, and All 4 Good Wins does not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

Four physical race boxes travel around Australia as a relay, each representing a team: Team Kyle (orange), Team Tara (blue), Team Chad (red) and Team Quin (purple).

A legitimate official competition entry requires genuine physical participation: you must legitimately hold or receive the physical race box, your digital check-in must correspond with genuine physical participation, and your entry in the box’s physical logbook must be genuine.

Participants join the team associated with the physical box they legitimately participate with. You do not simply choose whichever team you want.

Every box holder completes a digital check-in (or a retrospective offline check-in where reception was unavailable) including a genuine entry in the box’s physical logbook. Race Control reviews each check-in before it counts.

Your location is captured when you check in to verify where the box is and help keep the race fair. We do not continuously track your location.

Public race locations are shown approximately using towns, localities and landmarks. Exact check-in locations remain private with Race Control for verification.

A participant should generally keep a box for no longer than 7 days before passing it on, so the relay keeps moving. Race Control may allow reasonable exceptions for genuine circumstances, and a genuine unavoidable delay will not automatically disqualify you.

Participants must not deliberately:

• Withhold a box to prevent progress
• Steal a box, hide it indefinitely or damage it
• Tamper with its QR code, logbook or race materials
• Sabotage another team
• Place it somewhere unsafe or unreasonably difficult to recover

A box must complete ALL 4 qualification requirements — verified travel through the required jurisdictions, the required verified handovers, the required official challenges (including the minimum from each challenge category) and an official Prize Partner Pit Stop — before entering Home Run Mode.

Completing ALL 4 qualification requirements does not win the race. It activates Home Run Mode: the objective changes, and the box must physically make its way back to All 4 Good Wins — a moving finish line, because the family travels Australia full-time.

People may continue to receive, move and legitimately check in the box during Home Run Mode. There is no separate Home Run team — participants who legitimately receive or check in the box remain part of that box’s existing team.

The first fully qualified box physically returned to All 4 Good Wins and verified by Race Control wins The Great Australian Box Race.

Qualification alone does not win. Being geographically closest to All 4 Good Wins does not win. GPS proximity alone does not constitute a finish — the physical box must actually reach All 4 Good Wins and Race Control must verify the return.

Once a winner is officially declared, the race is complete. The remaining boxes are not required to continue racing home, and their journeys, achievements and statistics may remain visible as completed race history.

The physical race determines the Winning Team.

The person who physically delivers the winning box to All 4 Good Wins does not automatically win the major prize. Eligible verified participants associated with the winning team form the eligible pool for the final prize draw or process conducted under these Official Rules & Terms.

Race Control may remove fraudulent, duplicate or otherwise ineligible entries before the final draw. The combined major prize is referred to as The Ultimate Australian Adventure Pack. Participation does not guarantee a prize — no win, no prize.

Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. No cash alternative will be provided for any prize or any unused portion of a prize. If a winner is unable or chooses not to use or redeem a particular prize, no cash, credit, replacement prize or compensation will be provided in its place.

Individual prizes may also be subject to availability, validity periods, booking requirements, eligibility requirements and other terms or conditions specified by the relevant Prize Partner.

Race Control may verify or reject check-ins, review evidence and suspicious activity, resolve disputes and correct genuine technical errors. Race Control determines whether qualification requirements have legitimately been completed, and may reject or remove any entry it reasonably considers fraudulent, duplicated, ineligible or inconsistent with genuine physical participation.

Participants must obey applicable Australian road laws and any road or track closures, private property restrictions, National Park rules, fire restrictions, local access restrictions and culturally sensitive area restrictions.

The race must never encourage trespassing, speeding, reckless driving, entering closed roads or tracks, dangerous water crossings, environmental damage, or unsafe placement or retrieval of a box. Race progress never takes priority over personal safety or lawful access.

The race travels through remote areas where mobile reception may be unavailable. Race Control may consider a delayed digital check-in once connectivity becomes available, provided genuine participation can reasonably be verified — for example through the genuine physical logbook entry, the original date and any evidence of the handover.

Where a box becomes lost, stolen, damaged, temporarily inaccessible, or unable to be scanned because its QR code is damaged, Race Control may pause, repair or replace the physical box. Legitimate existing race progress may be preserved, and a team will not automatically lose its entire race due to circumstances outside the control of legitimate participants.

Where a genuine technical failure affects a check-in or race record, Race Control may take reasonable steps to correct it, provided the correction reflects genuine physical participation supported by the available evidence.

Accepting these rules is separate from consenting to public display of your submitted content. Public-content consent is given separately at check-in.

Where you consent, approved submitted race photos, stories and other content may be displayed on the race website and used in relevant All 4 Good Wins and The Great Australian Box Race content to document and promote the race. All 4 Good Wins does not claim ownership of your content and only requests the permissions reasonably required for those purposes.

Private Race Control information — your name, email address, phone number, physical logbook ticket number and exact check-in location — is used only for race verification, race integrity and the final prize draw, and is never published.

Approved public race information — such as your display name, approximate location, and any photo or story you consented to share — is the only information shown on the race website. For more detail, see the All 4 Good Wins Privacy Policy.

The Ultimate Australian Adventure Pack is built from contributions provided by the race’s growing lineup of Prize Partners. Prize items are provided as described at the time of contribution and, where legally permitted, may be changed or substituted (including with a comparable alternative) if a contribution becomes unavailable. Contribution validity periods and inclusions are managed by Race Control.

Where necessary, All 4 Good Wins may suspend, modify or cancel the race. If the race is cancelled, Race Control will determine an appropriate resolution for the prize in accordance with these rules and applicable law.

Race Control operates the race on behalf of All 4 Good Wins. Race Control may reasonably: verify or reject check-ins; review evidence; review suspicious activity; resolve disputes; correct genuine technical errors; determine whether qualification requirements have legitimately been completed; deal with lost or damaged boxes; determine competition and prize eligibility; verify the final physical return; and declare the official race winner.

This is not an unlimited authority to arbitrarily change the rules. Race Control decisions are based on the published rules, the available evidence, fairness and race integrity, and Race Control’s reasonable determinations are final.

These Official Rules & Terms are governed by applicable Australian law, including the law of Victoria, Australia, where applicable to the promoter.
