Learning on the road was never the hard part for us. It was everything around it.

We could see learning happening every day — in conversations, in places we visited, in problem-solving, reading, building, fixing, exploring. But remembering it all, keeping track of it, and feeling confident we were doing "enough" was a different story.

We tried notes, photos, folders, reminders, scattered apps, and half-finished systems. Nothing really fit the way we were living.

So we built something simple for our own family.

LearnTrail started as a way to quietly capture learning as it happened — without turning moments into lessons or adding pressure to our days. A place to log learning, store evidence, and look back over time and see the bigger picture forming.

What surprised us most was how much lighter everything felt once we started keeping a trail. Less stress about forgetting things. Less catching up. More confidence that learning was happening naturally, every single day.

LearnTrail wasn't built as a "school replacement" or a rigid system. It was built from lived experience — for families learning on the move, learning at home, or somewhere in between.

At its core, it's about noticing learning when it happens, capturing it simply, and trusting the process.
