A throttle controller is one of those modifications that can be a little hard to explain until you've actually driven a vehicle with one fitted. It doesn't add horsepower. It doesn't tune the engine. And it doesn't magically make the Y62 produce more power. What it changes is how the vehicle responds when you press the accelerator. Ultimate9's throttle controllers work by changing the throttle mapping request sent to the vehicle's ECU, allowing the accelerator response to be sharpened or softened depending on the selected setting.
