Would We Go Back?

The Flinders Ranges

Absolutely. The Flinders Ranges is somewhere we'd happily go back to.

We spent four nights at Willow Springs Station and loved our time there. The station was a great base, the facilities were excellent, the kids loved the animals and wildlife around the property, and having Skytrek right there gave us one of our favourite 4WD days of the trip.

But the biggest reason we'd return is that we feel like we've still got so much of the Flinders Ranges left to explore.

We covered Skytrek, Bunyeroo Gorge, Brachina Gorge and plenty of the surrounding country, but this isn't somewhere we feel like we've "done" just because we've visited once.

There are more tracks we want to drive, more walks and lookouts to explore and plenty of places we simply didn't have enough time to get to.

We'd also happily stay at Willow Springs Station again. Four nights gave us a good taste of the property and the Flinders, but next time we'd be quite happy slowing things down and staying longer.

The Flinders was one of those places that delivered exactly what we travel for — 4WDing, camping, wildlife, history and incredible country to explore as a family.

So would we go back?

Without a doubt. And next time, we'd give ourselves even more time.
